With the most recent firmware update, Sony patched about 10 games that we were reserving for future releases. With this, the release of a kernel exploit looks much farther away as there’s simply not enough games to go with it.
At this point in time, it is my friend qwikrazor87 who is most active when finding these games, but a one man army here isn’t gonna help us out here. So now it might be your time to join in amongst highly ranked and skilled developers to learn all you have to learn about exploits, get almost 24/7 help and support, and give back to the community in an attempt to make it better.
One thing that made wololo.net so popular is that it opened the doors for newcomers to learn psp hacking and find out its own hacks. Back then, before the release of HBL on firmware 6.20 for the patapon exploit, the trickery and code used to get all of this working was highly classified amongst the highest ranking scene devs. When wololo and others decided to make all the information public and write numerous awesome tutorials, it made it possible for layman people to get it into exploit hunting.
And so we’ve been full of exploits for almost the entirety of the Vita’s life up to this point.
What we wanna do here is bring back those days of sharing knowledge and helping others grow in the scene the way we did back then, and make it even bigger by mentoring those who are willing to learn.
Because knowledge should be open and shared, because there’s no point in beating Sony’s DRM when you’re gonna implement your own and be as secretive and uncooperative as they are, and because we want to see a scene full of people constantly developing it further instead of waiting for other people to do it.
If you are willing to get into exploit hunting, if you are eager to learn the ins and outs of these hacks, if you want to get actively involved in the scene, now it’s the best time. Send me a PM in wololo.net/talk, start reading the countless tutorials around this site, start making questions to satisfy your curiosity and start exploit hunting with the backup and support of professional devs.
